Any suggestions for PDers who cannot get out of a bed?

    Hi Nancy,

I take a theraband (those rubbery, elastic strips of material used by PTs and OTs)) and wrap and knot it around the frame of my bed near my arms so i have something to use to help pull me up. I’ve also used a belt, a yoga strap or rope…whichever you have and whichever works for you.

    Hope that’s helpful,
    Pam

    Hi,
I’ve used Pam’s method but also had success with switching to the other side of the bed for entry and exit. I find I can get up without a strap because I have more mobility in that orientation. Give it a try-it might work for you, too.
