Cyndy GilbertsonI would encourage the scientific community to continue to explore research trials based on neurotropic factors.
Some of the earlier studies did not allow enough time for the results to outperform the placebo response. As a current participant in a gene therapy trial for GDNF, I can attest to the subtlety of the improvements that I have noted, that are not necessarily obvious to others, while others have noted positive changes not evident to me.
